“我喜欢采用布料创作，因为它的发挥空间广大，可做出各种造型的作品，随时启发我的创作灵感；不同的布料成就不同的效果，也给人产生不同的感觉与联想。”

“再加上不同的填充物如天然棉花、人造棉、咖啡豆、鸡蛋壳、豆芽壳等，都会给人带来不一样的惊喜！”

童年时期的林瑞雁，身边总是围绕着“缝纫高手”，她的母亲、阿姨和奶妈都潜移默化地影响她。“每次看着她们熟练地画图、剪裁布料，在极短的时间内，就能缝制出一件件漂亮的衣裳，或是窗帘、包包等，令我羡慕不已。”
可是，她就是难以掌握缝纫技巧，每次一旦拿起针线，不是扎到手，就是把线弄得一团糟。
直到一年前购买了缝纫机后，自己才一点点摸索，或请妈妈充当“补习老师”，给她恶补缝纫的基本技巧。

顾客支持增添信心
初期，她的作品一般都只赠送给亲友做纪念而已；去年才透过参与pipit wonderful market，正式加入手工达人的行列。
“真的要感谢pipit wonderful market！它让全马手工制作人有个平台，大家聚集在一起，互相交流，并把各自的作品展现出来，让大家看到我们的用心与诚意。”
“有位顾客过后在网站告诉我，她为了要购买我的某一项产品，而特地从峇株巴辖前来都门，赶手工市集，让我非常的感动！”
“消费者热情的反应，给了我无限信心，鼓励我继续创作，往后要多放一些心思去发展这美丽的事业。”

她所有产品的设计，皆趋向于简朴的风格，这也是她个人的生活追求。

量身定做花心思
很多时候，对于一位顾客的单项订单，她需要花费至少一天时间缝制，因为，每项产品都是一针一线慢慢缝制的。
尤其是“量身定做”的作品，花费更多的时间；她的设计构思，往往是从收礼者的个性与爱好方面开始“找灵感”，假设，收礼者是小孩，她即会询问顾客：孩子个性属于文静或好动？
如果有关孩子较为活泼、好动的话，她就会特制一个设计稍微复杂及多功能的娃娃，例如，可能会加个背包，背包里头又收藏了一些东西，希望藉此吸引孩子去探寻、去发掘。
对于性格沉静的孩子，她觉得，做个简单的娃娃给他就好，让他觉得时时刻刻都有一个“伴”陪在身边，给他添加点点的安全感似的。
